Garageband -
Garageband is a pretty cool application you can use it to create any music you like, no matter what style. There are a lot of musical instruments. For example, drum, shaker, guitar, and electric piano. But there are limited amount sound unless you download them and you can only choose sound from the list. It is also very fun to play around with the sounds on Garageband. Garageband is compactable with a M-audio which is like a pianos keyboard if you have the large version. However you can also use your keyboard as a piano keyboard. You can put any music and recorded voice in this application. Also, you can edit them with cut and paste, split, and add effects. This can be used st school if you want/need to make an original music with many songs combined.

I don't just use it for music class but I have used for a history project!

Garageband is also pretty helpful for slideshows. It is a very neat application and fun to play with as you can create your own music beats or songs with it and then record your voice over it. It is very simple to use and very effective and the end results are great.

Garage band is also very good for podcasts. I remember using Garageband for Humanities in the 6th grade. You can drag pictures into the application and put music in the background to support your video.
Ableton Live 9
Ableton Live is a very nice program, it is for making beats and all kind of music. It is well set out and organised. However, it is hard to understand, but once you understand the basics, then it boosts you a little step forward.
Fruity Loops
Fruity Loops is a windows application and is the best beat maker on windows. Fruity Loops is also known as the application that basshunter first used to make his trance music and also turned out to be his best achievement because he turned into a DJ. Fruity Loops is just samples of music and very very easy to use. you can plug in your keyboard and play sounds, produce the song, and if you are lucky enough when you put it on a website you will turn out to be a DJ!!!
Reason 4
Reason 4 is a very good application for making beats. It has loops that garageband doesn't have and is known the best beat maker on a mac. you can plug in your keyboard and play sounds, put them together, and you got your music. if you are a kind of person that likes to make music and produce them, this is for you.
Audacity
This software is garage band but a much more professional and harder version of garage band. This software is made to edit audio and you can change different parts but much more professional version of garage band. There are no built in templates because you are supposed to import and export different audio. The tool that I like is the one where you can zoom in on the audio waves and cut out more efficiently like garage band. This software does what it is intended to do because it is intended to let you change a type of audio and it can really do it. I like how if you are a beginner you can easily pick it up and use it. I don't like how the software looks really boring and not more fun. If you need to make a podcast what you could use it to edit your script.
Virtual like garage band Keyboard
This is a really good tool. You can use this tool to make all different types of music. You have an option of picking between several instruments and playing on the keyboard. I really like this software. This software could be used in class for background music, or you could just play around with this application for fun! It is almost like playing on a keyboard!

Virtual Keyboard is very simple to use, you simply have to click on the key you intend to use or use the keyboard. it is a very simple music making program with limited sounds that it can produce. the sounds do not go well with each other and if you play to fast the sound becomes slurred and some notes are skipped. this can be used instead of garage band, but it is advised to use garage band as you have many more choices and the sound doesn't cut the way this program does. Since I don't have a keyboard at my house I can go here!

This is great because I am learning the keyboard and I don't exactly have one to on let but my only concern is they could be some more keys

This application called Virtual keyboard is literally a keyboard on the computer. You click on the keys and they make the note. There are 6 drumbeats. There is also organ, saxophone, flutes, panpipes, strings, guitar, steel drums and double bass. Whichever instrument you choose, the keys are still piano keys, but instead produces the chosen instruments noise. There is also a button to do chords. I would say that the only concern, is that there should be more keys.

Audiopal
Audiopal is for creating speech. It has four options: Record by microphone, record by phone, upload music file, or turn text to speech. Personally I think that text to speech is the best because you don't have to have a microphone to record, or don't want to pay the phone bills, or don't have a music file. Plus, these all use your voice. If you want to make it more private, use text to speech. I really like how this website is fast to load and has about 20 voice options. However, I think that only 2 of those are good if you wish to be serious. I think that it would be a fun way for a teacher to leave instructions when they are away, or, if an a person new to English wants to find out how to pronounce a word. It is also worth just having a play on.
FindSounds
FindSounds is a website where you can find millions of different sound clips. You can search a keyword on the search box at the top of the page. They provide you with different options of sound such as the file size (eg. 1MB, 2MB etc), file format (mp3, AIF, wave etc.) and the resolution (either 8-bit or 16-bit). When you search, you can listen to the sound clip and you can either download or send the file on email. I really like the fact that you can download these sounds because then you could use it for a school project. However the downside is that sometimes, the download might not work or the page might not load properly.
Sibelius
You can make your original scores with many different kinds of instruments. You can first choose the kind of score that you want. After choosing the kind of score, you can then choose the instrument(s). There are so many instruments that you can choose that you might find everything you want. Then you can edit you music name, composer etc. After having all those steps, you can finally create your music. You only choose the kinds of note and drag it on to the score. If you want to listen to your own music, you can play it. I like this application becasue it can be used to seriously create a music or also to kill your time. However, because it is quite complicated, you might be having some difficulties getting used to use this application.
